"Mazzy"
Mazzy is the product of a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeder’s Award litter. That litter produced 10 out of 10 tested puppies that prized in NA. Mazzy always showed extreme drive and desire. She covers any type of terrain (field, water, and thicket) with the same strong purpose: to find and produce a bird. Because of her strong desire and drive, she has been extremely easy to shape into a top hunting dog that accepted the type of pressure involved in training a VC and Master Hunter by 3 years and 1 month without any setbacks or glitches. On the contrary, the more you ask of Mazzy, the better she gets. When hunting, this desire and drive translates into her being the dog you take out of the truck when a wounded rooster hits the ground running and the dogs can not find it she will find it and return it to hand every time. Known fondly as “the little brown dog,” AKC judges (both hunt tests and field trials) have purposively gone out of their way to tell me “you have a great dog.” Long-time NAVHDA judges have commented her water work as “the most intelligent duck search I have ever seen” and (a different judge) “the most persistent duck search I have ever seen.” Her pointing style and intensity make her a joy to watch no matter who you are.
Mazzy has produced two great litters out of two different males. She has been bred to VC Sharp Shooter's Let 'er Rip and puppies are expected February, 2008. Mazzy's last litter, the "G" Litter was to a littermate to Rip's mother, Rainey. We are expecting this litter to be as great as the last one she had.

"Flicker"
Flicker comes from a litter of 9 with 8 prized in NAVHDA NA and 4 UT to date. Flicker (Indian Brook's Frappucino, UT PZ I), is owned and bred here at Outlander GSP. She is a daughter of two VC and MH dogs: VC Indian Brook's Espresso, MH (Mazzy) and VC Enzo vom Ludwigstein, MH. "Flicker" is an outstanding hunting partner. She is a close hunter in the grouse woods and ravines of Montana for sharptail, Oklahoma and Kansas for bobwhite. She has an incredible nose and a relentless tracking drive. I have had to drive in my pickup to find her as she tracked a wounded rooster that she went over a mile and eventually caught.
In the big prairies of Kansas and Nebraska, Flicker automatically adjusts to covering the ground necessary. She is owner trained and handled to her UT Prize and will be running in Master Hunt tests this fall and next spring as she prepares for the 2007 Invitational in Missouri. We are planning a litter out of Flicker this winter bred to DC/AFC Odyssey's Perfection, MH owned by Odyssey German Shorthaired Pointers.

"Honor".jpg)
Honor is the newest addition to Outlander. She is another daughter of Mazzy of my breeding. She is a hard-driving, big running dog yet very cooperative. She did very well in her NAVHDA natural ability test down in New Mexico at the age of 7 months. She is a big girl, tall, but very athletic. Her first season on wild pheasants reminded me very much of her mother's first year: total chaos. This year she learned to track a bird, fetch a bird and run everything else out of the next county. Exactly what I look for in a pup's first year. She will go into her retrieve and steadiness work this winter working into the duck search this summer. If all goes well, we will get her into a Utility test this upcoming year. Her love of water and high drive should make the water work an easy task. We are really looking forward to this little girl. She has some big pawprints to follow with her mother and big sister.
