Flicker is the product of what easily should be a NAVHDA NA breeder's award but I did not get my paperwork in on time. She comes from a litter of 8 puppies, 7 of which earned a Prize I in NA and 4 to date have prized in Utility. She is an amazing hunting dog that I never ever have to hack to keep her hunting with me. She watches where I am and hunts with me. This could be as far as 100-200 yards out in the open country found in Kansas or Montana, yet she still closes up tightly in the Ruffed Grouse woods of Wisconsin or the dry riverbeds hunting for bobwhite in Oklahoma or southern Kansas. She is an extremely competent tracker that will follow a wounded bird for miles without letting up. She also hunts fur having brought me a shot coyote, jackrabbit, snowshoe hare and badger. She learned to kill feral cats and armadillos. A gentle dog in the same breath, she is velcro to my mother who has Alzheimer's disease and has surprisingly alerted to epileptic seizures. She may have had another calling in another life as a therapy dog. She is also a great pulling dog as she is just learning dog scootering. Flicker will attempt to earn a Master Hunter title in 2007 and will be entered in and compete in the NAVHDA 2007 Invitational test in September. I also plan to get her International Championship and her AKC Championship along with her AKC Field titles. She is completely capable of these and I would like to see her earn them.

Watch for Flicker in the versatile dog world of German Shorthaired Pointers! Her first litter was born May 22, 2007. Check it out here.
